Intermountain 3D Inc.

About Us
Intermountain 3D was started in 2014 to bring commercial 3D printing capabilities to manufacturers, product designers and entrepreneurs.  Leveraging their many years in the 2D commercial printing industry, principals Brian and Lynn Hoffmann bring a unique understanding to design-for-manufacture requirements.  Developing strong and lasting relationships with customers and working with them to meet their most challenging needs is the foundation on which Intermountain 3D is built and operated.

Mission
To contribute to advancing 3D printing and its potential to transform the manufacturing industry.  We learned the value of manufacturing growing up in Michigan and around family businesses supporting the car industry.  We strongly believe that a robust manufacturing industry not only creates jobs, it is an integral part of the invention process itself.  Commercial 3D printing has the potential to revolutionize the way manufacturing is done, and bring new capabilities to the smallest and largest entrepreneurs.

Services
Through a careful understanding of your specific applications, Intermountain 3D matches the 3D printer best suited to the problems or opportunities you're facing.  If you're not ready for your own printer, Intermountain 3D can print parts for you.  With our in-house printing capabilities and broad network of service providers, we can print plastic, ceramic and metal materials, for a wide range of applications including snap-fit, color, durable, or living hinge.

Intermountain 3D Principals
PictureBrian Hoffmann, President
Named inventor on 12 laser printing patents, Brian has had a passion for 2D and 3D printing for many years.Brian worked as an engineering manager in R&D at HP for over 26 years after receiving an MBA from the University of Michigan. He left HP to go back to school to pursue another passion--aviation--and received his Airframe and Powerplant Certification to go along with the private pilot's license he's held for 35 years.  Intermountain 3D allows him to bring together many of his interests and work with the technologies and in the industries he enjoys the most.

PictureLynn Hoffmann, CEO
After receiving her MBA at the University of Michigan, Lynn moved to Idaho to begin her career at HP. She enjoyed success there for 17 years as a marketing manager and vice president of the high-end commercial printing business, and then changed her attention to a new challenge in the nonprofit world. Running the Idaho Nonprofit Center for seven years was one of Lynn's most satisfying and exhausting accomplishments.
