3D Printers

Concept to design to product: 3D printers let you create working prototypes and finished products quickly and cost-effectively.  Modifications are made simply and products remade without the costs and time of traditional manufacturing. A full range of technology and material options ensures there is an ideal printer to meet the most demanding needs.

Technologies

Over 30 years ago, Chuck Hull invented 3D printing with a technology known as SLA and thus created the company 3D Systems. Today the company has wide-ranging core technologies and continues to lead the industry, making 3D printing widely available through reducing the cost and usability barriers that have traditionally restricted access.
MultiJet Printing (MJP)
inkjet head-based plastic printing used in the ProJet 3500 series, 5000, & 5500X
ColorJet Printing (CJP)
inkjet powder and wax printing used in the x60 series
Plastic Jet Printing (PJP)
extruded plastic printing used in the Cube series
Stereolithography (SLA)
laser based printing used in the ProJet 6000, 7000 & ProX 800
Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)
laser-based plastic printing used in the ProX 500
Direct Metal Sintering (DMS)
laser-based metal printing used in the metal series
